Lev on defined spaces
Chicago Tribune's Carisa Crawford Chappell spoke with Belgravia Group Chairman, Alan Lev, about floor plans with defined spaces.
While the new generation of homebuyers prefer an open floor plan, many still prefer more defined spaces and Belgravia incorporates a bit of both in new construction homes.
“People really like what we have instead of one big great room. They’re connected with an opening but it’s not just one big huge space,” he said. Having more defined rooms has its pros, Lev admits. They include more walls for artwork and furniture, and “it also gives it a little bit more feeling of intimacy.”
